Meet Our Rosh Kollel
Rabbi Daniel Travis
Rabbi Daniel Travis, Rosh Kollel of Kollel Toras Chaim, is a renowned author, speaker, and halachic expert with deep connections to many of the greatest rabbanim of the generation. After receiving semicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, he dedicated his life to teaching and guiding Klal Yisrael. His mission was deeply shaped by his own life challenges, including surviving a car accident in Israel that left him miraculously unscathed, as well as a near-death experience in Rio de Janeiro. These extreme trials strengthened his resolve to help others and inspired his work. Rabbi Travis has published over 25 books, writes for several newspapers, and gives shiurim, many of which are available online. His focus is on training future poskim and guiding people through complex halachic questions, drawing from his relationships with fourteen Gedolei Yisrael. He lives with his family in Jerusalem.
WHAT WE DO
Our six-year intensive program is designed to immerse students in the foundational areas of Hilchos Shabbos, Issur v'Hetter, and Niddah, with daily shiurim from R' Travis and regular tests to ensure mastery.
We bring together a dynamic and diverse group of avreichim, all driven by a shared mission to support Klal Yisrael. Each individual contributes their unique strengths, learning from one another’s perspectives and backgrounds. In addition, we offer an exclusive track dedicated to the comprehensive study of Orach Chaim, providing a well-rounded Torah education.
